The Anne Arundel Academies, Inc. Advisory Board

The Anne Arundel Academies, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization composed of Business/Higher Education Partners that serve on Local Advisory boards that support the Academies in the Anne Arundel County Public Schools.

The Flavors of Fall Fundraiser is held each year to benefit the Academies of the Anne Arundel County Public Schools.

Advisory Boards

The Anne Arundel Academies, Inc. serves as the umbrella advisory board for the local academy advisory boards. The local advisory board members:

  • Secure relevant, paid internships for Academy students
  • Sponsor field experiences, mentoring and shadowing experiences for students and teachers
  • Sponsor fundraising events that provide student activities and support scholarships
  • Assist in curriculum development and revision
  • Raise awareness of the Academy and build community support

The current Anne Arundel board is composed of representatives from each of the following groups: Anne Arundel County Public Schools Academy and district staff, college community staff, and private sector industry partners.

The local advisory board will be working to increase private sector participation during the current school year.

The Anne Arundel Academies advisory board meets during the school year. The meetings include local advisory board members and a strategic planning session of the local advisory board and the academy team.

Flavors of Fall Fundraiser

The Business Partners of the Anne Arundel Academies, Inc has a major fundraiser each year. This year the Flavors of Fall Fundraiser will be held on Tuesday, October, 20, 2009. Please join us for this event and support our academies.
